I was saved around the age of 11, but in my teen years I kind of drifted in and out of a close relationship with Christ, struggling with various sins. I finally became “sold out” in my 20s.
I was diagnosed with a very aggressive breast cancer at the age of 36, which became the catalyst for many changes in my life, mainly in my spiritual life. God used my cancer diagnosis and ultimate healing to show me some changes I needed to make and to teach me many new things about Himself. I can’t imagine where I would be without that challenging period of my life.
A few years ago God started leading my husband and I to also make some changes in our music ministry. We became open to leaving our hometown and going wherever God wanted to take us. We were called to South Bend Church of the Nazarene, where God has continued to grow us in many different ways!
What I love about what I do: There are MANY reasons why I love leading worship at SBFN, but probably the biggest is seeing and hearing my church family enter into worship, even after difficult times financially, relationally, spiritually, or physically. It encourages my heart to know the stories of what people are going through, yet when we all join together in corporate worship it becomes such a beautiful expression of love to our Lord, as we sense His presence among us, encouraging us and bringing us peace and comfort.
